About This Product
The Auto Slide is a padded car seat cushion that helps you turn and slide into the seat. It suits anyone who can sit but finds the twist into a car hard, such as after a hip or knee replacement.
You sit on it side-on, then turn and slide across without being lifted. The low-friction layer under the buttocks makes the turn easier.
It won't suit someone who can't sit upright on their own.
It straps to the back of the car seat, so you don't slide forward during the trip. Side handles give a carer something to hold. It's 480 x 480mm with a soft padded polyester top, and fits without tools. NDIS participants can buy it from the core budget as low cost assistive technology.

Can transfer aids be funded through NDIS or Aged Care?
Yes. Patient transfer aids including sliding boards, turntables, slide sheets, transfer belts, and standing aids are typically funded under NDIS Assistive Technology (Higher Cost) when recommended by an occupational therapist. Do I need an OT assessment before purchasing?
For NDIS funding of higher-cost items, an OT assessment is generally required. An OT will assess the person's transfer needs, the environment, and the carer's capability, then recommend the most appropriate equipment. How do I choose the right transfer aid?
The right product depends on the type of transfer, the person's level of function, and the environment. Transfer boards suit people who can participate actively and need to bridge gaps (e.g. wheelchair to bed). Slide sheets and move-master pads suit bed repositioning. Standing aids like the Quick Move or Smart Stand suit people who can weight-bear partially. Contact our team — we can discuss your situation and recommend the right option.
How is delivery handled for large transfer equipment?
Larger transfer aids (standing aids, electric lifters) are dispatched next business day for in-stock items and delivered via specialist freight. Our team will contact you to arrange delivery. Assembly and demonstration can be arranged for an additional fee. Please contact us when ordering. Smaller items like slide sheets, boards, and turntables are delivered via standard courier. Orders over $500 get a $25 delivery credit, taken off automatically at checkout.
What is the return policy?
Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery for products in original, unused condition. If a product arrives damaged or faulty, we will arrange replacement or repair promptly. For hygiene items such as slings, returns cannot be accepted once used. We recommend speaking with our team and confirming clinical suitability before purchase.
