About This Product

The Overbed Table with Split Table Top is a mobile table with a tilting top and a small flat section. It's for reading, writing or eating in bed or in a lift chair. The larger section tilts and locks in 5 positions, so it doesn't move once set. The smaller section stays flat to hold a drink. The tilting part can sit on the left or right of the flat part. Set it to suit your stronger hand or your side of the bed. The top is 800mm long and 430mm wide. The tilt section is 600mm and the fixed section 200mm. Height adjusts from 750mm to 1100mm. The wide base has an 800mm internal width and fits around most lift recliners and chairs. Measure your chair's base first. The top wipes clean. Aspire covers it with a 1 year warranty. Call 1300 216 888. Our pharmacists can check the fit with you before you buy.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between an overbed and an overchair table?
An overbed table is designed with a C-shaped or U-shaped base that slides under a bed, positioning the tabletop over the user for eating, writing, or using a device while lying or sitting up in bed. An overchair table wraps around the front of a chair, sitting on the floor on both sides. Both are height-adjustable and mobile.
Can an overbed table be funded through NDIS or Aged Care?
Yes. Overbed and overchair tables are commonly funded under NDIS Assistive Technology (Low Cost) or Aged Care Home Care Packages when recommended as part of a home assessment. Our team can provide NDIS-compliant quotes and assist with the documentation.
Is the table stable enough for eating and daily use?
All models in our range are fitted with locking castors to prevent unintended movement during use. Overbed tables have a wide base with a low centre of gravity, and most feature a raised lip around the tabletop to help prevent items from sliding off. They are not load-bearing support surfaces — do not use them as an aid to standing.
How do I adjust the height?
Most models use either a spring-loaded or gas-assisted mechanism for fast, one-handed height adjustment. The Aspire range uses a locking knob for additional security once the height is set. Specific height ranges vary by model — check the specifications above for the product you are considering.
What is the return policy?
Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery for products in original, unused condition. If a product arrives damaged or faulty, we will arrange replacement or repair promptly. Contact our team before purchase if you are unsure which table suits your bed or chair setup. You pay the return postage unless it arrives faulty or we sent the wrong item. Full details are in our returns policy.
